Explore the strength, compression, and shoulder mechanics behind arm balances and arm balance transitions. In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll refine technique, build control, and learn how to safely integrate skills into your practice. Ideal for dedicated yogis and teachers who want a deeper understanding of alignment for a sustainable and enjoyable yoga practice.
We will explore arm balances tailored to your level, including:
Crow, Side Crow, Fallen Angel, EPK1 & EPK2, Flying Lizard, Firefly, Eight Angle, Grasshopper, Flying Pigeon, One-Legged Crow
Time permitting: Headstands, Peacock, Croc
Sunday, May 3 | 2-4 PM - Handstand Development
Develop strength, stability, and confidence in your handstand practice. Whether you’re starting out or refining technique, you’ll get practical tools to progress safely and effectively.
Focus areas include:
Compression & core integration for controlled lifts
Shoulder & wrist conditioning for sustainable strength
Balance drills & alignment cues for steadiness and awareness
For students ready to explore further, optional press handstand components will cover weight transfer, lifting with control, and refinement drills.

Julia Lee is a full-time yoga teacher with over 700 hours of training, specializing in arm balances, handstands, and advanced asana. She teaches advanced poses as a gateway, not a goal, using them to deepen body awareness, build resilience, and cultivate a steady mind.
Her teaching emphasizes intelligent strength-building, mobility, and sustainable alignment. Students learn to explore challenges without force, building confidence upside down while staying grounded in breath and presence.
